There are a couple of injuries but we have the squad to overcome that challenge. We were caught short a bit against Blackheath as we lost JB before the game and Rob Povey during the game but this is a resilient squad and we did well to get the bonus. Harry Newborn mentioned we could have scored just before half time which didn't come off but had it gone our way then Saturday could have been different for us.

We have Harris Rutherford who looked sharp in his game a few weeks ago and Lloyd who is a great 10. We also have Will Metcalfe who is looking better and better with game time and also Sinjin who is a sharp 9 both just need a bit more exposure to the first team. JB might well be back this week also who is a rock for us at 9 and scores tries. If Lloyd does step in at 10 we have Mitchell who's can slot in at 13 and James Norman who can move to the wing who has scored a lot of tries in his appearances for us.

It would be nice to see Callum and Morgan back in the starting line up if fit as they are two prolific try scorers for us. Callum really gets us on the front foot in the ball carrying area and has a very handy Rugby League style offload but we have the depth also, Jack Baldry has stepped up phenomenally well and has shown he is first team quality. He puts in some serious work out there and can also score.

All in all I believe this year we have that strength in depth to see us over the line and I have every confidence in the lads this weekend, they always bounce back strong from a loss. Whatever the combinations are out there they will be well thought through and the lads will have done the work in training to prepare for probably the most important game of our season.

Come on Roth, send em home wi nowt!

Not sure what the injury status is but it looked like it had some bearing on the outcome against Blackheath. I think we need to be at full strength to beat Plymouth, who dispatched Rams with a  60 point haul. They are very good with ball in hand and they were missing a few players. They have access to at least one premiership loan player (Wimbush) as well. The next game is absolutely pivotal for us if we want automatic promotion. I cannot see Blackheath or Plymouth losing any other games (as predicted above). Sale away for Plymouth might be a tough one but by then they will know whats needed. It has been a fantastic season for Roth and we just need to hang in for 4 more games but the pressure is relentless. Lets hope we can muster a strong team and do the job. We have control over our destiny, there are 20 points available and there are only 11 points separating top from 4th so it is tight. there are only 5 points separating 3rd from top. To guarantee a play off position we need at least 2 wins, which I am confident Rotherham will achieve. Losing to Plymouth is likely to  seriously take the wind out of our sails however so it is such an improtant match (for both teams). Can't wait.

Only 9 points separate us and Plymouth in Points Difference. We need to put some points on them this weekend

Blackheath were good and deserved something out of the game.

The referee was awful. A number of the penalties he gave against us were just wrong: their player fell over into one of ours and he gave high tackle. The obstruction - we could see John's (ball carrier) back with 2 of their players in contact , nobody from our side near. When their player held our lad's shirt to stop him making a tackle, the vociferous Blackheath supporters behind us were saying, "Don't know how we didn't get a yellow there."

Was always hard when 9 and 10 were both missing for much of the game. Hope JB is back: he is vital to the rest of the season. Is Corben still about?

Great fight back to secure the losing bonus point and it felt like we might have got the draw. Well done all.
