I don't think anyone would oppose 'kick chase' as a valuable tool. It just needs to be executed well and also used appropriately. I can't attend the Titans Wednesdays  (live 260 miles away), but I have every faith that Harvey knows his stuff and our league position and the trajectory we have been on since he took over totally demonstrates that. I just think that, on occasion, some of the players don't quite excute and perhaps fatigue, injury play their part in that. Also, our opponents watch what we do and come up with counter measures. The second half of the season seems to have started the same way as the first half so hopefully we can hang in with the top 3 or 4 and be in the fight for promotion. It feels like we are in with a shout and we can still be masters of our own destiny. I dont think we can afford to kick away too much to Plymouth, club or Park and it will be interesting to see how we play those fixtures (starting this weekend).

I agree that the Plymouth and Blackheath games are crucial and big ticket games for us but I also think that Sale and Park are going to be very stern tests, Sale at home I think we can win but we also need 5 full 5 pointers to keep track with this prediction. Very exciting league and all to play for.

Injuries have had an impact.
Dave Swift’s round up in the programme named Callum and Ellis as the casualties from Leeds, with Donks struggling as well. Long term there’s Pete Hudson, Calvin Mitchell and Cuchulain Livingstone all still being monitored, and almost every player went into the Christmas break with a niggle or something not right.
Training apparently is ‘brutal’, according to the guys who work for the TCF, and some of these players have been at this level or higher for many seasons. It takes its toll.
Harvey regularly says it would be good to select from a full squad - half way through the season and he’s still not had that chance.
As for the kick chase comments - again, speak to Harvey at a Titans Tuesday (on a Wednesday) as it is part of a game plan and he has good arguments for why it is part of the options he wants them to use on a match day.

It is going to be a fascinating few months.

Plymouth look like they have 4 away games to go (Dings, Birm, Us, Sale). We have Park, Judds, Club, Sedge. So the Away at Club and Park and the home matches vs Plym and Sale are the big ticket matches for us. When you list it out, its such a tough league and the other matches will be also tough. There is no let-up. We have to be on the money all the way to the end. I suspect Plymouth will be on their game all the way and their big matches will be against us and Sale.

Saturday showed what we can do and apart from Dings we narrowly lost 2 games. The margins are very small in this league. At this stage we are second and if we get 5 from the game in hand we go top. Which is a good place to be.  It will be tough on Saturday at Rosslyn and Plymouth look very dangerous judging by their recent results. If we win Saturday  and i think we will, that will be a marker. Plymouth will probably be a very big game and Sale last match could be very interesting. It is such an enjoyable season Harvey and the team are providing for us.
