Injuries have had an impact.
Dave Swift’s round up in the programme named Callum and Ellis as the casualties from Leeds, with Donks struggling as well. Long term there’s Pete Hudson, Calvin Mitchell and Cuchulain Livingstone all still being monitored, and almost every player went into the Christmas break with a niggle or something not right.
Training apparently is ‘brutal’, according to the guys who work for the TCF, and some of these players have been at this level or higher for many seasons. It takes its toll.
Harvey regularly says it would be good to select from a full squad - half way through the season and he’s still not had that chance.
As for the kick chase comments - again, speak to Harvey at a Titans Tuesday (on a Wednesday) as it is part of a game plan and he has good arguments for why it is part of the options he wants them to use on a match day.

It is going to be a fascinating few months.

For those of us who are no longer based in Rotherham, how soggy is the pitch likely to be with all the rain recently?

Very soggy!

Donks 50th and he was so good in the scrum and around the park! How many scrum penalties?

Well I guess now we know. I can see Harvey getting increasingly risk averse and making defendable decisions rather than using the squad. Shame and if anyone goes down their replacement will be undercooked. Don’t agree with it but I understand it.
If you can, come along and watch a Tuesday training session. No one involved in that is undercooked. Some of the players wear trackers that monitor their effort/stats in games and in training and the results from the training shows they’re pushed and stretched more than in a game! Some of the less regular members of the match day are putting in hard yards to support the whole squad, and everyone who’s stepped up so far hasn’t, to me, looked out of place.
As Harvey has said today, the injury list isn’t allowing him yet to select from a full squad - we are lucky to have such quality in the replacements.

Titans Chat / Unique Christmas Match Day Shirts on Saturday
« on: December 11, 2025, 04:23:42 pm »
The auction closes tomorrow lunchtime for the shirts numbered 1-15 for Saturday's game. Check out the Titans Community Foundation page on eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/tcfrotherham

The winning bidders will get a bin bag and the chance to take ‘their’ shirt home straight after the game. Some players are even happy to strip off on the pitch for you!

Shirts off the backs of the replacements will be raffled off on the day and will be just as filthy, so again a bin bag will be supplied. Raffle drawn during the 3rd Half.
All proceeds will be going to support the work done by the Titans Community Foundation and their new base in The Hub.

Last season the TCF provided over 2000 hours of support to schools and worked with 2,500 young people.

So far this season, with their new building open and allowing them to expand what they do, they have provided 1900 hours of support to just under 3000 young people. There’s nearly 6 months left to the year end so that’s a huge increase in their involvement and their impact.

Please support their work if you can - they’re Titans players working out in our community and making a difference - on and off the pitch.

Anyone know if the game is being streamed?

Being streamed in the main bar at the Clubhouse. No food available but bar open and the Club would appreciate the support with just one home game this month.

On the Rolling Maul message board, a Rosslyn supporter also acknowledged that it’s hard to win with 3 yellow cards! That’s 30 minutes with a man down - tough against a strong pack.

Just to defend TCF - Cu on crutches and the only one in the building this morning not in charge of children. Other TCF staff arrived at lunchtime by which time bins had been emptied. Thank you to all the SODS.

Titans Chat / Re: Roth v Bishop's Stortford latest scores
« on: September 27, 2025, 07:48:13 pm »
These score feeds are such a life line to us Ex-Pat Rotherham fans, I thought it was stunning that we were 28-0 up when I first got chance to have a look and then after the break , having been shopped to death in John Lewis,  suddenly, we had 50 points on them. Couldn't beleive the scores, not what I expected. Storts have pushed other tough teams close so this is very encouraging. great effort!! Can't wait to see the highlights.

If you follow on X(twitter) we put updates on there. We are also trialling a live stream, currently back to the clubhouse from some away games. If there is the demand, we will look to offer this to those overseas and long distance supporters etc who can’t get to games.
We are currently uploading the highlights of every game onto our YouTube channel as soon as we can on a Monday after the game.

Titans Chat / Live streaming from Saturday’s game at Clifton
« on: September 16, 2025, 02:36:21 pm »
The Clubhouse will be offering the chance to watch the game direct from Clifton on Saturday. This was trialled last season with the game from Bishops Stortford and several clubs are experimenting with it this season.

There won’t be a commentary on Saturday, but the sound will be from the Ref’s mic and ‘ambient’ noise. Hopefully not too many players swearing around the ref!

The bar will be open from 2.30pm for a 3pm kick off. There won’t be any food available.

There are no links for the live stream anywhere else but the Clubhouse at this stage.

There will be 2 nominated ‘travelling reserves’, usually a back and a forward but lots will want to see how this goes so expect to see other players there, either on the bus or under their own steam. The more noise the better!
