The RFU is supposed to be a "Union", not a capitalist dictatorship!
Money is the root of all evil!

I believe that the "Champ Rugby Minimum Operating Standards for 2026/27" has a very complex set of documents regarding the Minimum Operating Standards including 'Mandatory' 'Essential' Phased essential' and 'Aspirational' criteria.
Not included in the documents of course is the extent to which club officials are able to negotiate with the RFU.

I was slightly disappointed to see Curtis on the bench on Saturday, as I remember him as a very entertaining and skilful player with us. He was named on Thursday's team sheet to start. I spoke to him in our clubhouse after the game, and he confirmed that he couldn't play due to an injury. It's not for me to repeat the nature of his injury. I look forward to watching him at the return game on t'moors!

Their investment in a 3G pitch should reap benefits. Huddersfield have been troubled by waterlogged pitches for years.

I found this a very interesting read. Is this the future? Would our programme sponsors appreciate a greater visibilty from a larger number of online views, or do they prefer a physical copy? Several clubs in Nat 2 produce a free physical copy included in the admission fee together with a far-reaching online copy. P.S. I always purchase a programme at our home games.

Really over the moon that the RFU have allowed  the game to go ahead. As an ex-forward I'm really looking forward to see Callum at 12. Make the effort to come and support our team! Don't forget your sunnies. (Best wishes to Jack Hedley for a speed recovery).

Is the RFU trying to change our beloved game into a version of Netball? I've nothing against Netball, and I understand we need to protect players, but I think this is a ridiculous idea...

Setter, Your coop account is looking at your address, maybe your postcode. If your address was the same as an obliging fan who lived within 15 miles of the club, your account would probably let you nominate the TCF. (P.S. you did post the words "any way"  ;))

Yes, Gareth Denman did play for Dinnington, and Otley. I found this link to the Bradford Telegraph & Argus. it's based on an interview published on 3 June 2013 with our then head coach Lee Blackett. My favourite quote (from Lee) in this article is "But I’m positive we’ll see Gareth in a Rotherham shirt again."  https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/10458841.amp/

I may be wrong, but my take on the offside incident was that a Hull player kicked the ball which was charged down by a Rotherham player, but then picked up by a Rotherham team-mate who was in an offside position. I think Law 10 allows the Rotherham team-mate to be played onside if a Rotherham player kicks the ball forward and it is touched intentionally by a Hull player.

I think OLLY Fisher has played 9 and 10 for Sheffield, Sandal, and the so-called Yorkshire Rugby Academy. I don't use Twitter, but perhaps Olly does?
