The squad looks good. Going to be an extremely difficult game tomorrow but our lads have the ability to get the win!

Come on Roth!

The Drop Goal does seem to have gone out of fashion. Although George Ford seems to be trying to revive it and it is a useful tactic for England and Sale.

It is a useful way to get the board ticking and as you say in a close match can be a deciding factor.

I’d also say the up and under seems to be vanishing. Bernardo Stortoni found it very effective for us!

Great display today some amazing tries from RUNNING RUGBY!

This team really does have the skill and pace to move the ball about and when we do, we look dangerous.

I thought James Norman was phenomenal today. Two or 3 turnovers from his pressure chasing kicks and tackling. Very well done to him.

Jack Baldry is really growing into the Number 8 position and had a storming game, big boots to fill and he is doing a great job.

Sinjin looked very sharp too apart from a daft mistake which he more than made up for.

Travis Gordon was awesome too, always makes yards and breaks and grabbed 2 tries.

Jackson with the hat trick, can’t ask for more from a winger.

Well done lads, I really was hoping for a big score today to catch up on Plymouths points difference and the lads did that!

Next week is the tough one. Rosslyn Park away. Rest up, heal up and give it 110% these lads can get the win.

Well done to Lions for pushing for their bonus point. They looked defeated by about 60mins on the clock but they pulled it back to get the well deserved try bonus!

Come on Roth!

The squad looks solid, nice to see a bit of rotation too for some of our younger players to get a chance. Sinjin definitely deserves a start as he has been solid for us and looked dangerous at 9 and on the wing!

James Norman has looked solid when he has played and will be wanting to impress on his return.

Feeling another 5 coming our way but it won’t be a push over. Lions are struggling but are still a very good side and capable of an upset if we don’t keep our heads screwed on!

Come on Roth!

Really hard fought victory today. Stortford were always going to push us and rightly wanted to get one back on us for the result earlier this year. Their backs were very sharp and caught us out a few times but we weathered the storm in the second half and got the 5 and that is all that matters.

Great 5 on the road, not many are going to get points there.

It will be great to get back to Clifton Lane next week against Lions then a big test against Rosslyn Park away!

The side looks great. We need to be on it once again as Bishops Stortford will want to get back at us for what we did to them earlier this season. Has the potential to be another Leeds away if we are not careful!

I think we can get the 5 but we need to be a bit more expansive and a bit less predictable against a much stronger Bishops Stortford side who are aggressive and have had the better of us in recent history particularly at their place!

Give it all you got lads and bring home the 5!

Agreed, I really think we need a plan B and plan C to keep the opponent guessing more. We do have a tendency to become slightly predictable which I think Leeds exploited. We kick a lot and Leeds back 3 thanked us for that. They were happy to run at us.

This season we have serious try scoring threats across the park and backs that can do serious damage. The pack are very strong as we expect but they are also mobile and have the ability to play good Rugby. I think if we can mix it up a bit more then we can really push on and become more dominant.

We are now 14 games into the season, there is lots of information out there for sides to predict how we are going to play. We don't need to stray too far from what we do best but lets keep these sides guessing, lets use our talent across the pitch. It has been a very long time since we have had as deadly of a back three. Lets use them.

Mix it up and we can go on and win the league. Let the backs go, bully it up front and let our back row run as well. We have all the cards we just need to find the best ways to use them and find that devastating form from the start of the season.

Plymouth seem to start slow but finish strong, as they did last season. They have to come to us which is in our favour. We need to try deny them points in that game. The win away to Sale at the start of the season was a massive win for us. Big away games against Blackheath and Park will be tough to overcome unscathed and I do think that the away game to Bishops Stortford will be very difficult too. They will want to get back at us for what we did to them at home.

As said above there is a lot of Rugby to play and the games are not won on paper but the loss to Leeds has left us looking vulnerable.

I think we needed the Christmas break a week earlier but it is what it is. The lads have had a well earned rest and hopefully the injuries have had chance to heal up.

It really is a game at a time in the league. Form means nothing. Every side are a good side.

We have the squad to win the league but so do 5 or 6 other sides. When you are top you have a big target on your back and we found that out at Leeds. We didn't manage the game as well as we should have and came unstuck but that lesson is learned.

Onwards to next week.

We were very poor today. Our kicking was not effective and lead to our downfall. Countless errors and penalties.

We just kicked away possession to a side that wanted the ball. Leeds kicking was far better than ours, far more intelligent.

Missed touch twice from penalties in a good position.

There didn’t seem to be a plan B when plan A wasn’t working.

You have to say Leeds deserved the win they were far more up for it.

You can’t make any excuses we were poor simple as that.

I think the lads have a lot to work on after that.

Agree about Luckas, he is a very good winger, powerful and aggressive and very good defensively. He can also play in the centres. I just think it is very hard to break into this great team.

Just seen that Hull Rugby have a few of our younger lads in their squad which will be great game time experience for them in the Hull derby. Joe Cummins at 15 and Oliver Fretwell on the bench.

The squad looks great. Good to see Lucas get a run out, he looks like a dangerous winger when he plays.

I think this will be a much tougher test than the start of the season but I feel we will get the 5 again.

Yes Mitchell was hobbling from the start of the second half. He couldn't run at his full pace and was visibly uncomfortable. Hopefully it isn't too serious as he has been outstanding this season on the wing and in the centre.

Great result considering it wasn't our best day at the office. We seemed to be a little bit slow and steady today and made some daft errors but we overcame that, got the win, the try bonus and in the end a convincing scoreline. I always say a sign of a title winning side is to find ways to win when you are not at your best and that is what we did today. It's not always going to smooth sailing and we toughed it out.

I thought that Jackson Barling was outstanding today, he stepped up in the second half when we needed some creativity and got us on the front. From there we looked a lot more alive. Everyone played well as they all do we just weren't as cohesive as a group as we have been and seemed a bit off the pace. The lads found the way to win in the end. Lloyd had a great game as always, as did Callum, his offloading today was particularly good.

As me and my dad left after the third half I had the chance to speak to Harvey, I let him know that Rams had beaten Park as the result just came in and I had to thank for what he has done for the club and he said 'it is all down to the players' and that is right. This squad are special and if they can just stay together then they can achieve great things for us fans. Harvey is a great bloke and a special coach. We are very lucky to have him, the team and the club. I'd say this is our best team for maybe 10 years, since the Lee Blackett days and with how young they are they will only improve and if we do get promotion they deserve that chance to test themselves at a higher level.
