Titans Chat / Clifton Lane

I have heard from a couple of sources that there are plans to rotate the pitch through 90 degrees for next season. Anybody know anything about this, is it a requirement for acceptance in the Championship, should we get promoted?

To suggest that the Plymouth forwards dominated in the 1st half, defies belief. As I recall we were awarded several scrum penalties, a couple in the first 10 mins or so & only got pinged once by the ref for an early engagement. The pack, especially the front row, bossed Plymouth in the scrum. Lloyd showed great composure to slot the DG at the death, especially when you consider, by his own standards, he hadn't had the best of games, shows the character of the man.To not play at your best & still come away with a victory, is the sign of a great team. Well done Titans, enjoy the break, & come back re-vitalised for the run-in.

Last season we went for a smaller squad, with players who could cover various positions, this worked well to start with but as the season went on injuries took their toll and we dropped off the pace slightly finishing a creditable 3rd, for our 1st season back in Nat 1. Having learnt from that the club has gone for a squad with strength in depth, and that is paying off, several players this season have been selected after others are injured and made their mark, e.g. Jack Baldry & Ellis Thomas to name just 2. Great credit should be given to the management for making this financial commitment, and the coaching staff for selecting and developing such an exciting squad.

Another cracking result, especially given that we had 2 players in the bin. Well done Titans.

Another 5 points in the bag, despite a scrappy 2nd half performance. Well done Titans, but need to be on top form next week.

Juddians came back in the 2nd half against Plymouth & only lost by 6 points, shows they will provide a challenge for us next week.

I am presuming, as there has been no information to the contrary, that today's game is on, anyone heard different?

The taped off section in the stand is there to prevent  standing supporters obscuring the view of those seated.

Another good result, never looked in doubt after we went 7-0 up after 3 mins from an excellent try created by Isaac.  Got a bit scrappy in the last 15 or so, with some replacements playing out of position e.g. Luke Cole coming on at centre and later moving to the back row. Good to see that even though we had the game in the bag we still defended resolutely. Well done Titans.

Just walked alongside the pitch, going to be proper mud bath this afternoon, think the strength of our bench will give us an overwhelming advantage later in the game.

I was very impressed with the Park's backs when we played them at the Lane, but felt that their forwards would struggle a bit on the heavier pitches, and if this game was at the Lane today I would be betting on 5 points for us. But Park's 4G pitch may negate to some extent our superior pack, so as has been said before it's going to be a tight game. One thing I hope is that we don't persevere with the box kick strategy, giving the ball repeatedly back to the Park's backs could prove dangerous, unless we give our own backs a real chance to compete for the ball. I have every faith that the coaching team have come up with the best strategy for the game. Good luck Titans
