Titans Chat / Crowd behaviour

I was so disappointed that there was shouting and booing from the shed today when Albion were kicking at goal from a penalty. Titans supporters are better than that.
Plymouth showed their class by leaving early and not participating in the after match camaraderie that makes rugby union the envy of many other sports.

The Titans were very lucky to win that game. Started impressively, dominating lineouts and a very strong display by the forwards. Then the “kick tennis” started. A three man overlap squandered when JB hoofed it down the park, at times it seems to be the only tactic that is used and opposition teams must be well aware of this. My Man of the Match (for what it’s worth) was Callum Bustin. He made the hard yards and was always involved

I’m as much in the dark as you are Winger14. I understood there was some long running dispute but I don’t know the nature of this. The club may, hopefully, release another statement.

Statement re. Rotherham Phoenix from Titans’ Facebook page.

The dispute between the Vice Presidents and Rotherham Rugby Club (the company that run Rotherham Phoenix) concluded today with the judge ruling that the VP’s remain members of Rotherham Rugby Club and as the rules stood the proposal to exclude them was of none effect.

The VP’s have won their case.

This is worrying trend in all sports. Match officials in all sports are subjected to unacceptable abuse on-field, witness the disgusting behaviour of the Manchester City players recently, online and from the terraces.
Closer to home, a small minority of the Titan’s followers should consider their interactions with the match officials, without whom there would be no rugby. Not only is it disrespectful but must influence their decision making towards the Titans.
The “Rugby Community” has always taken the moral high ground regarding respect towards match officials, players and other spectators. I sincerely hope we can continue to embrace this tradition.

I Understand what you are saying but don't you think it's odd that coaches who come to us from clubs where they have been for 5/10 years but last on average 8.5 months with us..
It is very odd and far from satisfactory. I’ve no idea or insight as to why this is the situation. I, like all Titans’ supporters, wish it were different.
I believe this current group of players is possibly the strongest we have had at this level. Maybe the powers that be thought they were not achieving their full potential. I don’t know and am loath to speculate!

Average time for a coach at Roth 8.5 months hope this lad managers to stay a bit longer all the best to him
Can't see Biljon staying very long first coaching job that comes up in the championship he will be gone.
That’s why Biljon is here in a consultancy role. If he can pass on any of the knowledge he’s gained from his playing career and his coaching work, both of which were pretty impressive, surely as a club we should be grateful.

Titans Chat / Re: Gary Pierce Has Left Titans

Does anyone know how many backroom staff have gone as well as Gary?
Has Tomasi Tanumi left as he was backs coach?
I sure some of our more “informed” contributors will have a guess!
It doesn’t seem as though our management team lack the ambition, as they have been accused off. The new coaching combination will not come cheaply.
This is the TWENTIETH year that they have been funding the Titans, after rescuing us from oblivion, and everything else that goes with it.

Do they still come under the Clifton Lane “umbrella” or has there been a parting of ways?
